Award from KAAGNY

At a gala held on January 13, 2012, Korean American Day, The Korean American Association of Greater New York gave the Community Service Award to Pyong Gap Min, Director of the Center. He was one of four recipients of the Community Service Award. KAAGNY cited his exceptional academic achievements and community services through the Research Center as reasons for selecting him as one of the recipients of the award. In August 2011, Min also won the “Honorable Mention” (runner-up) Award in the Thomas Znaniecki Book Award competition for his book Preserving Ethnicity through Religion in America: Korean Protestants and Indian Hindus across Generations from the International Migration Section of the American Sociological Association.
